Situation
The Senate just passed the $768 billion NDAA, by a margin of 88-11, bringing the total discretionary budget for the Pentagon for fiscal year 2022 to $778 billion ($10 billion in military spending is authorized out of the NDAA’s formal jurisdiction).
Corruption
As was displayed last week with House members, senators who voted Yes on increasing the military budget to $778 billion (+$37 billion from Trump’s final budget) took considerably more campaign cash from military contractors than those who voted No. The difference is that in the Senate, this disparity was more pronounced:
